You can find some of the results of my experiments with the system with these youtube videos. I'm excited to see how others will use the system. Upload your sequences or images to youtube - or send them to me.

Both these pieces of software are of demo quaility only - and so have been released to invite any interested parties to develop them with under an open source license

Download the Java Client (currently runs on Sony Ericsson K800 / k750 phones)

Play.Orchestra Launch
A Major commission by the Royal Festival Hall and Philharmonia Orchestra, Play.Orchestra was developed by a team from Central Saint Martin's MA Narrative Environments course. My involvement was key from the early stages, researching and developing the idea that was to become the installation that has been recently featured on BBCs Radio 4s Today programme, The Times, Bloomberg, The Telegraph, Radio 5 Live, BBC3, not to mention BBCs Newsround - without sadly, John Craven. Stratford Circus screen intervention launch
In January 2006 I was asked by Yeast Culture to provide an animated intervention for Stratford Circus, as part of the Arts Centre's re-launch and re-brand.

Over the course of 6 months, the commission developed into an interactive architectural intervention - one that happened to use the large outdoor screen which was integrated into a public square facing facade of the venue. More about the project

Videowalks
...There are several aims of the Videowalks project, which revolve around the democratisation of public space. Walk guides or authors have a chance to respond to the landscape that has been built around them, providing an invaluable resource for future planning, and the design of the built environment as a whole. Assassins Show visuals at Sheffield Crucible
For the opening of a new run of Steven Sondheim's 1970 musical theatre piece, Assassins, at the Crucible in Sheffield, a new stage was constructed which incorporated over 20 television screens. I was asked to provide animated material for these screens. More about the project

Lecture on Collaboration in the Arts
I recently gave a lecture to the University of Plymouth's Media Arts Students about why artists are collaborating more, and how to collaborate effectively - using some of my own collaborative experiences as example.

In the lecture, I explained why the digital paradigm was partly responsible for the shift of attitude toward collaboration. I used the concept of metaphor to explain how individuals understand the world in their own way, and how these unique semantic links can richly contribute to a new combination of ideas within a collaborative environment.
