The detail

Spacelapse was a co-production with designer and critical theorist, Chris Speed. This short animated film, displayed an anonymous high street as a group of timelapse sequences. The timelapse footage became a display or viewfinder of each shop’s unique existence along the axis of time, based on people’s use of that shop.

Spacelapse was aired on HTV west in 2002 as part of the Brief Encounters Film festival.
